CoP Members from all over the world Co Create SRHR Knowledge Product Ideas
90 Community of Practice Members from all around the world came together and produced ideas for the co creation of 18 knowledge products on SRHR at the Share-Net International Co Creation Conference titled ‘Engaging in Knowledge Translation Together.’ The 3 day event took place in Amsterdam, the Netherlands from 8th to 10th October. The aim of the conference was to engage each other in dialogues to develop new knowledge products.
The knowledge products included infographics, videos, lesson plans, concept notes, checklists, project designs and training toolkits.
The conference included power talks from influential change makers coming from Nigeria, the Netherlands, India, Burundi and many more countries.
Omotade Alalade, the founder or Beibei Haven Foundation, spoke about how her personal experience of going through the condition of infertility inspired her to start her own foundation to reach out to others. Beibei Haven is a foundation that provides medical and psychological support for people suffering from infertility in Nigeria.
Jorris Juriens from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands said, “We need to getthe agenda of SRHR in the handbook of the response teams working in settings affected by crisis.”
The important subjects that were addressed at the conference were- making SRHR services youth friendly, finding out ways how to make the majority of the funds reach people in crisis, using videos as an effective means of communication, and much more. New products based on the ideas is going to be developed with further consultation with the members.
