Disability and SRHR at 9th APCRSHR
Researchers working on SRHR needs of people with disability in Bangladesh, have been awarded a scholarship to present their findings at the 9th APCRSHR to be held in Vietnam. The research team at Center for Gender, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (CGSRHR) at the BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health (BRAC-JPGSPH), BRAC University, conducted this research with funding from Share-Net small grants.
Saad Khan, Senior Research Associate, CGSRHR, BRAC-JPGSPH, will be presenting the findings on behalf of his team. He obtained his Master’s from Linkoping University, Sweden in gender and intersectionality studies in 2014. As a qualitative researcher, his areas of interest are gender, sexuality, masculinity and education. Currently he is coordinating a year long scoping study titled ‘Exploring sexuality of physically disabled people through photo-narratives in Bangladesh.’ He worked as curriculum designer, lecturer and teaching fellow in the Nuffic project, funded by the government of the Netherlands on capacity development on gender and SRHR through curriculum reform, short courses, training and research.
