Call for Written Submissions: Special Rapporteur on Trafficking Women & Children
To prepare for the Special Rapporteur’s visit to Bangladesh, the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (UN-OHCHR) is calling for Written Submissions seeking input from civil society, human rights organizations and other interested stakeholders regarding Human Trafficking.
From October 31 to November 9, 2022, Ms. Siobhán Mullally, the Special Rapporteur of the United Nations on trafficking in people, particularly women and children, will go to Bangladesh for official business. To prepare for the visit, the Special Rapporteur is looking for advice on human trafficking, particularly of women and children.
During the tour, strategies for stopping human trafficking and assisting those who have been victims or survivors of trafficking will be examined. After her tour, on November 9, 2022, the Special Rapporteur will deliver her preliminary findings. In June 2023, the United Nations Human Rights Council will receive a comprehensive report on the visit.
