‘Ami- O Achhi (I Do Exist)’: Weeklong Campaign for Early Married Girls

Campaign “I DO EXIST” (Ami-O-Achhi): In 2016 on the special occasion of the International Women Day, IMAGE will launch its week long campaign “I DO EXIST” from March 5th-11th 2016.  The focus will be on this segment of female population who are very important and in dire need of attention, but have been ignored so long.  The campaign “I DO EXIST” is her own cry to the nation to get noticed and demand her own rights as a married child. It will evolve around – their own feelings captured through the journals of these early married girls. When the girl-children are married, they are no longer considered as children. All their problems and rights are deliberately overlooked. Through their writings, the early married girls are raising their voices “I DO EXIST” in protest of this negligence they are suffering from for years.
