IMAGE Inauguration

Bangladesh, although a rapidly developing country, has yet to go a long way to ensure proper practices of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. Initiatives for Married Adolescents Girls’ Empowerment (IMAGE) aims to empower early-married adolescent girls and help them understand, utilize and practice their Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. The Program is funded by Kingdom of the Netherlands and jointly implemented by Terre des Hommes Netherlands, RedOrange Media & Communications Ltd, Terre des Hommes – Lausanne, SKS Foundation and Pollisree.

The Inauguration of IMAGE will take place on June 23, 2015 (Tuesday) at Spectra Convention Center, Gulshan 1, Dhaka. The Launching Event would be Chaired by Ms Ella de Voogd, First Secretary SRHR & Gender, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, with Ms Meher Afroze Chumki, Hon’ble State Minister, Ministry of Women and Children Affaris as Chief Guest, Mr Syed Monjurul Islam, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare as Special Guest and HE Martine van Hoogstraten, Charge d’Affairs, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Ms Sultana Kamal, Executive Director, Ain O Salish Kendra & Former Advisor to the Caretaker Government of Bangladesh as Guests of Honor. The event will start at 9:15 and is expected to end by 1.00 pm.
