An Effective Platform for Knowledge Gathering: Sexuality Education

The youth are provided with vast knowledge and skills to make healthy choices about the initiation of sex and sexual behaviors through sexuality education. It can stop negative sexual and reproductive health outcomes; such as HIV/AIDS or unwanted pregnancy. It also provides an important platform for addressing gender issues and promoting mutually respectful and non-violent relationships.

This report was written based on a study done by UNESCO Bangkok which focuses on national policies and strategies in twenty-eight countries in the Asia-Pacific region. It finds out the status of policy and strategic frameworks, existing policy and strategic frameworks of sexuality education. It also analyzes the policy and strategic documents, identifying gaps and opportunities.

Bangladesh programs running on sexuality education can utilise this vast resource of Sexuality Education.
