Opportunity- Call for Abstracts: Reproductive and Sexual Autonomy in Asia
The Center for Reproductive Rights, a global human rights organisation of lawyers and advocates, ensures that reproductive rights are protected in law as fundamental human rights for every person’s dignity, equality, health and well-being. The Center for Reproductive Rights advances reproductive rights as essential human rights all around the world by using the force of the law.
The organization is seeking abstracts on Reproductive and Sexual Autonomy in Asia for publication. The publication is expected to feature all together perspectives, learnings and developments on the impact of legal and policy frameworks on sexual and reproductive rights and justice in countries in Asia.
The article must identify the law and policy reform and advocacy, the intersectionality of human rights violations on SRHR, the legality concept of abortion, contraception and maternal healthcare. The weakness and the gaps at the policy level, also the positive efforts of advocacy that led to policy reform are welcome in the article.
Abstracts must be 500-800 words and submitted by 15 March 2023.
Requirements
- The length of the article must be in 5000-7000 words
- Author’s name and institutional affiliation.
- Author’s email address.
- Topic and core message of the article
- Intended audience and impact of the message
- Research methodology or data sources
After receiving the abstracts, selected authors will be asked to discuss their outlines with other authors, SRHR justice actors and Center staff in a webinar workshop to be held in May. Again, upon selection, the authors will be invited to Nepal in June 2023 for a discussion on their articles. Final articles are expected to be submitted by September 2023.
