Youths’ reproductive health and rights
An International Conference on Family Planning 2016 which held at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Centre in Indonesia covered issues on barriers to contraceptive use include cultural norms about family planning, lack of financial resources, and political priority.
Youths are the leader of the tomorrow, yet they are vulnerable to their sexual and reproductive health and rights. In Bangladesh, speaking about sex, menstrual hygiene management and contraceptives among adolescents are seen as unethical or illegal. Parents do not talk about sex with their girls but marry them off before their legal age which is a violation of human rights.
