Workshop: THINKING QUALITATIVELY

Qualitative research is used to gain an understanding of underlying reasons, opinions, and motivations. It provides insights into the problem or helps to develop ideas or hypotheses for potential quantitative research.
The Center for Professional Skills Development on Public Health (CPSD) is holding a workshop on “Fundamentals of Qualitative Research” at James P. Grant School of Public Health (JPGSPH).

The three days long workshop will take place from 4-6 March, 2017 (9:00am-5:00pm), at the JPGSPH-BRAC University Headquarters which is located at Level-6 of the icddr,b building in Mohakhali, Dhaka.

The course is designed for mid level development practitioners and aspiring researchers working in public sector institutes, NGOs, academia, research institutions and other civil society organizations who are involved in qualitative/mixed method projects.

Applicants need to complete an application form (linked below) by Feb 18 with an updated CV and e-mail to cpsd@bracu.ac.bd with the subject line: “Thinking Qualitatively.”
Selected applicants will be notified shortly after the deadline.

The course fee is set at BDT 10,000, which includes lunch and refreshments for all participants.
