Women raped at step sister’s house in Gulistan

Yesterday, a woman was gang raped at her step sister’s house in Gulistan.

The victim came to Dhaka  from Faridganj upazila of Chandpur in hope of a job after her step sister promised to arrange for her .

Assistant Sub-inspector Babul Mia of DMCH Police Outpost said, the victim was left near the hospital’s emergency section in the morning, bleeding and uncovered.

Dr Bilkis Begum, coordinator of One Stop Crisis Centre (OCC) of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) said, “The victim alleged that her step-sister Sultana called four men at her house near Golap Shah Mazar area and they raped her,”

“Her injuries were so seriously that we had to operate on her immediately”, Dr Bilkis added.
