About
As professionals working in the field of SRHR, the CoP on SRHR messaging perceives that attention to sexual and reproductive health and rights is under serious pressure during the current pandemic. The pandemic is overshadowing the urgency of SRHR needs of key populations and marginalized people. Together we want to discuss: How can we maintain our strong narratives around SRHR and positive sexuality?
Therefore, the aim of this upcoming webinar is to engage in discussion about how to create positive and useful frames around COVID-19 related to SRHR. We want to gain new insights on how we can create effective SRHR messages and hope to share best practices on newly developed messages and communication strategies around SRHR related to COVID-19.
This webinar is an initiative of our Community of Practice (CoP) on SRHR messaging, which is composed by representatives of Rutgers, Dance4Life, RNW Media, AFEW International and individual members.
CoP members Margo Bakker (Rutgers) will welcome you to this virtual expert meeting where you can join a live interview with messaging expert Elena Blackmore from the Public Interest Research Centre (PIRC) and Ibrahim Waiswa Batambuze, Communications and Advocacy Manager at Reach a hand Uganda (RAHU). CoP member Kari Postma (Dance4Life) is going to conduct the interview on stage. Hereinafter, CoP member Doortje Braeken will facilitate a Q&A session and we invite all participants to also share their knowledge and learn from other’s practical experience.
