Two Communication Courses Held at JPGSPH, BRAC University

Short Course on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights and the Law

A five-day Short Course on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights and the Law was organised by the School’s project titled Recognising Consent and Choice which works in partnership with BLAST. The five-day course was aimed at BLAST lawyers and counselors from all over Bangladesh. The course was conducted by Professor Shohini Ghosh, Sunita Kujur from CREA and Asmita Basu, all from India. Among the Bangladeshi resource persons were, Sabina F Rashid (JPGSPH), Rita Das Roy (Naripokkho), Mukatsree Sathi (SPaRC), Shihab Ahmed Sirajee (BLAST), Ishita Dutta (BLAST), Taposhi Rabaya (BLAST), Saraban Tahura Zaman (BLAST). A total of 31 participants attended the short course between 11th March and 15th March 2016.

Writing Workshop on Media Representations of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights

A one-day Writing Workshop on Media Representations of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights was organised by the School’s project titled Recognising Consent and Choice which works in partnership with BLAST. The workshop was conducted by Prof Shohini Ghosh from AJK Mass Communication Research Centre Jamia Millia Islamia, Central University, New Delhi, A total of 25 participants including journalists and BLAST advocacy team attended the workshop held on the 11th of March 2016.
