TRAINED YOUNG ADVOCATES CONDUCTED FIRST AID TRAINING TO YKPs
In Bangladesh, Link Up: Better sexual and reproductive health and rights for young people affected by HIV formed 10 youth platforms at its working areas involving active youths from different communities aged from 10-24 years. To run the platform executive committee formed in each platform where convener and member secretary are the major office bearer. A gender balance has been ensured having these positions filed by one male and one female/transgender. Youths identified their gaps and requirements and get involved in different national and international activities. After getting training and TOT on First Aid and Disaster Management youths now started to facilitate training at local level and share information on First Aid and sudden accident during our daily life. Though Bangladesh is situated such a vulnerable global location, natural calamities are very common here. Youths are the key role players of the program. So our mission is to train our young key people on first Aid and help them to gain knowledge. Utilizing the platform youths are empowering and engaging themselves in development activities at the community level. Last week these trained youths cascade down first aid training to 50 young key people in Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet organized by Link up Bangladesh.
