The Share-Net International Co-Creation Conference 2021 ends successfully
The Co-Creation Conference has arrived at its finishing line successfully! It was held on 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th January and 3rd February 2021 on its dynamic and innovative online platform.
The two Lead facilitators- Nina Pavlovska, Co- Creation, and Innovation Catalyst and Masuma Billah, Head of Research and Innovation, RedOrange Media and Communication (SRHR & Gender Expert) facilitated the conference and made it a very engaging experience for the participants with SRHR knowledge and expertise from around the world.
On the first day, 25th January 2021, there were over 70 participants from all over the world including Asia, Middle East, North and South America, Europe, and Africa. Arnob Chakrabarty, Project Director, Share-Net Bangladesh and Dorine Thomissen, Coordinator, Share-Net International welcomed the participants to the conference. The opening speech was delivered by the Guest of Honour by H.E. Mr. Harry Verweij, Ambassador, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Bangladesh
On the days forward, the participants worked in eight groups on eight different topics and co-created the knowledge products, which was the main purpose of this conference. Each of the groups were facilitated by eight very energetic and enthusiastic group facilitators selected from different parts of the world which made the sessions very interactive for the participants to co-create.
On the final day the 3rd of February 2021, after 4 days of continuous work by the participants, the groups presented their knowledge products in an open session with followed up question and answer session from the panelists. A total of seven creative, innovative knowledge products were produced by the groups.
There is an opportunity for the participants to apply for small grants to take their knowledge products to the next level.
There were inspiring Power talks during the conference by five young people sharing each of their inspiring journeys with SRHR: Jean Paul Gentil Uwase from Burundi, Ana Aguilera from the United States, Lisa de Pagter from the Netherlands, Umme Habiba from Bangladesh and a young girl from Indonesia.
