About the organisation
Youth Social Development Academy (YSDA) is a youth-led, community-based development organisation committed to empowering young people and marginalized communities through education, leadership, social awareness, and sustainable development initiatives. The organisation works to create opportunities for youth to become active citizens and positive agents of change by strengthening their knowledge, skills, and participation in community development.
YSDA implements programmes focused on youth empowerment, education, health and wellbeing, gender equality, climate resilience, livelihood development, and community engagement. The organisation also promotes volunteerism, civic participation, and leadership development, enabling young people to contribute to local decision-making and social transformation. Through capacity-building workshops, awareness campaigns, community outreach, and partnerships with government agencies, civil society organisations, and development partners, YSDA addresses pressing social challenges while fostering inclusive and resilient communities.
A key strength of YSDA is its emphasis on grassroots participation, ensuring that young people play a leading role in designing and implementing solutions that respond to local needs. By combining community mobilisation with evidence-based advocacy, the organisation contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to quality education, gender equality, good health and wellbeing, decent work, climate action, and reduced inequalities. Through its diverse initiatives, YSDA continues to nurture informed, skilled, and socially responsible youth who are committed to building a more equitable and sustainable Bangladesh.
