Youth Policy Forum (YPF)
About the organisation
Youth Policy Forum (YPF) is a global knowledge network and independent think-tank for young Bangladeshis focused on policy discussion, academic research, and governance advocacy. Guided by its core motto, "People, Policy, Progress," the forum bridges the gap between grassroots youth and active policy reform to encourage state-crafting and nation-building.
Dynamic Portfolio & Policy Networks
YPF operates structured sub-groups targeting multi-sectoral national challenges:
- Policy Networks: Hosts specialized research divisions across Environment, Economic Opportunities, Infrastructure, Gender and Inclusion, Healthcare, Education, Technology, and Law.
- Policy Advocacy: Collaborates with national and international pressure groups to communicate youth-centric solutions to active policymakers.
- Mentorship Framework: Bridges young aspirants with seasoned economists, scientists, and senior researchers for early professional development.
- High-Level Dialogues: Organizes major independent webinar series, including Talking Policies and The Budget Dialogue, highlighting critical systemic changes.
Academic Workshops & Local Impact
YPF maintains a strong on-ground presence via interactive youth workshops and strategic local partnerships:
- Research Training: Hosted the "Research Fundamentals and Career Pathways" masterclass at the Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) campus to provide academic research tools to students.
- Budget Tracking: Convened the Policy Circle session at Varendra University to evaluate the national budget, focusing heavily on youth employment, tax structures, and digital economics.
- Risk Reporting: Publishes analytical briefs on contemporary national crises—such as analyzing regional disaster response deficiencies during flash floods in Sylhet and Feni.
