About the organisation
Youth For Uplift Bangladesh (YUB) is a youth-led non-profit organization established in 2018 and registered under the Department of Youth Development (DYD), Ministry of Youth and Sports, Government of Bangladesh. YUB works to empower young people and children and to build an inclusive, just, gender-equal, and sustainable society. YUB focuses on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), gender-based violence (GBV) prevention, child marriage prevention, girls’ empowerment, digital safety, climate action, disaster risk reduction, and tobacco control. The organization works with youth, adolescent girls, women, children, and marginalized communities through awareness campaigns, community mobilization, training, advocacy, youth leadership, volunteer engagement, and partnerships. YUB places young people at the center of its work, supporting them to become informed leaders and active change-makers in their communities. Through evidence-informed approaches and community-based action, YUB promotes dignity, equality, safety, participation, and access to rights and opportunities for all.
SRHR publications/research
Youth For Uplift Bangladesh (YUB) has experience in community-based SRHR awareness, youth engagement, and evidence-informed advocacy. Our work has focused on adolescent girls, young women, and marginalized communities, particularly on menstrual health and hygiene (MHM), access to SRHR information and services, gender-based violence prevention, child marriage prevention, and girls’ empowerment.
YUB has conducted community and youth-focused awareness sessions, collected field-level information through community engagement, and documented programme activities and learning to inform advocacy and future interventions. We aim to further strengthen our capacity in SRHR research, knowledge generation, documentation, and dissemination in collaboration with relevant researchers, practitioners, and networks.
