Youth Action for Sustainable Future (YASF) is a youth-led, non-profit voluntary organization dedicated to driving climate resilience and sustainable development in Bangladesh. The organization is officially registered under the Department of Youth Development (DYD) of the Government of Bangladesh.

Award-Winning Innovation
In 2026, YASF won the prestigious EBL Climate Change Action Award for its breakthrough climate-smart agriculture and aquaculture initiatives.
- The Challenge: Heavy monsoons, tidal surges, and frequent flooding regularly wash away traditional fish stocks and destroy local livelihoods in coastal regions.
- The Solution: YASF introduced low-cost floating pond farming structures crafted from bamboo and recycled plastic drums.
- The Impact: These flexible platforms rise with tidal surges to keep fishing nets secure. Additionally, youth built a dual production setup by growing vegetables (like bottle gourd) on top of the nets. This creative method slashed traditional embankment construction costs by 70%.
Grassroots Activism
YASF regularly organizes community-driven climate campaigns. For instance, they hosted a large-scale mobilization at the Maskata Riverside in Mehendiganj for the Global Climate Strike, empowering coastal youth to advocate for environmental policy changes.
