Socio-Economic and Rural Advancement Association (SERAA) is a regional based non-profitable, non-political and non- governmental development organization (NGO) was established in the year of 1997 by a few like-minded social workers under the leadership of renown HRD Mr. S.M. Mazibur Rahman at Sukhari union of Atpara upazila of Netrakona district with a view to improve the socio-economic condition of the rural targeted poor families especially ultra poor and excluded group. Netrakona is situated on the foot of the “Garo hills” through which the river Kangsha, Sumeswari and Mogra are flowing. SERAA has excellent linkages with the community, local elected bodies, Local, National and International NGOs, Government departments and united nation bodies, It has been working for the quality improvement of the underprivileged ethnic/tribal communities along with other minority and majority communities without distinction of caste, creed and religion for more than 20 years and earned reputation in development sector.

General objectives of SERAA:
The general objective of SERAA is to enhance the socio-economic condition of the targeted poor household in the rural, urban and remote area with special emphasis of excluded people’s participation in the development process in particular by adopting integrated approach.
