About the organisation
The Working with Women-II project aims to improve the health and wellbeing of garment workers in Bangladesh through Inclusive Business practices across the RMG value chain. Working with Women-II (2017-2021) builds on the success of a three-year pilot (2014-2017) project Working with Women-I and is funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. One of the key mandates of the project is to support knowledge generation on inclusive business solutions in the RMG value chain of Bangladesh. Ideas, insights and new perspectives generated through the seminar will help the stakeholders in RMG sector, private sector, NGOs, academic, journalists and civil society to promote and support the institutionalization of Inclusive Business models in the garment sector, particularly those related to SRHR. SNV also brings its broad and long-standing experience in private sector engagement to the Shojag (Awaken) Coalition, aiming to reduce gender-based violence in the garment (RMG) industry in Bangladesh.
