Shongshoptok is a non-profit, vibrant, and dynamic platform dedicated to mobilizing, empowering, and uniting people with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, and sex characteristics (SOGIESC) in Bangladesh. Founded on January 25, 2018, Shongshoptok voyaged to create a safe haven for the community, offering secure online spaces for SOGIESC people to connect on Facebook using their official identities authentically. Shongshoptok, over the past five years, has evolved into a thriving community mobilizing platform that brings together not only individuals but also community-based organizations, passionate activists, and dedicated mobilizers.

Our aim is to harness opportunities for diverse segments of the marginalized SOGIESC community, including grassroots, Adivasi, and other vulnerable groups. We conduct programs to raise political awareness and promote human rights. understanding, empower with safety and security measures, provide mental healthcare, facilitate conflict and consent management, and establish safe spaces.
