About Us — JYDO is a non-political youth-led organization formed by a group of young people from the Sundarbans-adjacent upazilas of Khulna district. We are working together with youth on climate action. Alongside this, we are also working on gender equality and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).

Since 2021, members of our organization have been actively working on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) awareness through BRAC’s youth platform. Since the establishment of Jagrata Youth Development Organization (JYDO), we have been conducting various activities to promote health awareness, gender equality, and safe adolescence among teenagers and young people.
We have established adolescent-friendly clubs in several educational institutions where students can learn and openly discuss their physical and mental health in a safe and supportive environment. In addition, we have taken initiatives to ensure easier access to sanitary napkins for women and raise awareness about menstrual hygiene management.
Furthermore, we have encouraged and trained adolescents within our organization to share their personal health concerns and mental challenges with doctors or healthcare professionals without hesitation. We believe that proper knowledge, awareness, and a supportive environment play a vital role in building a healthy, confident, and empowered future for young people.
