About the organisation
GenLab BD is a prominent youth-led social enterprise and think-and-do tank based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It creates platforms for young people to actively engage in regional and local social development.
Core Focus & Mission
The organization channels its initiatives toward achieving specific United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
- SDG 5 (Gender Equality): Promoting social, economic, and cultural inclusion while eliminating gender disparities.
- SDG 13 (Climate Action): Leading major climate initiatives, such as the regional Climate Action Champions Network (CACN) alongside entities like the U.S. Embassy
- SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions): Fostering inclusive, tolerant, and peaceful co-existence within communities.
Vision: An inclusive and resilient world through a sustainable approach.
Mission: Our mission is to empower people, particularly the youth, towards developing a peaceful, just and a sustainable world where actions are driven by innovation, integrity, and coexistence.
We aim to work on diverse and critical issues - gender equality, climate change, access to education, good governance, to aid policy reforms and be a catalyst to change through meaningful programs.
