Jhankar Jubo Sankskritik Sangothon (JYKO)  is a youth-led, non-profit cultural platform dedicated to promoting art, culture, and community transformation in Bangladesh. With a strong commitment to creative expression, cultural education, and social awareness, the organisation works to inspire young people to become active contributors to positive social change.The inception of Jhankar emerged during the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, when prolonged isolation deeply affected the mental well-being of young people. Recognizing that cultural practice plays a transformative role in restoring emotional balance and nurturing creativity, we initiated our journey with just five committed members by organizing an online cultural competition for children and adolescents. This humble beginning laid the foundation for what would soon evolve into a youth-driven cultural movement.In 2021, Jhankar formally attained organizational identity and aligned its mission with the Sustainable Development Goals—particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
