Research: SRHR Practice among the Adolescents with evidence from Dhaka city

Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) of Adolescents had been one of the less discussed/discovered issues until recently, at least in Bangladesh. Due to its sensitivity and varying standards from community to community, their was a lack of literature support.

Thus, a research has been conducted on “SRHR Practice among the Adolescents: Evidence from the Adolescents of Dhaka City” by MD. Rafiqul Islam, a student of Dhaka School of Economics. Rafiqul is one of the Young Researcher Fellowship 2020 award winners of Share-Net Bangladesh. The grant for this research was received as part of the Young Research Fellowship Award-2020.

This study aims to explore the state of knowledge and practice towards SRHR, the cost-benefit aspect of SRHR, and the policy level recommendations. The methodology used for this study is mainly quantitative with some FGDs and KIIs as qualitative methods to support the quantitative findings.
