MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY
Thirty young girls in Dhaka city celebrated Menstrual Hygiene Day. They shared their experiences and encouraged each other to talk openly about menstruation.
The event was organized by the organization Water and Sanitation for the Urban Poor (WSUP) in Bangladesh. The subject is taboo and girls are left to their own devices managing their period. These girls were brave enough to withstand the taboo.
