Married women relying more on short term method.
A recent evidence review was published in Reproductive Health looked at contraceptive practice among married women in Bangladesh.
The researchers found that married Bangladeshi women are choosing short term methods more than long term methods. Over the last two decades, use of long term and permanent methods have been decreased significantly. Ironically at the same time, high rates (36%) of method discontinuation was observed among short term methods.
