Husband’s education not significant in lowering Contraceptive Discontinuation among married women

It had been indicated in previous studies that Contraceptive Discontinuation in women is significantly associated with husband’s literacy. Although, a recent study done by researchers of Anwer Khan Modern Medical College have proven otherwise.

In the new study, the researchers have showed that husband’s education is not significantly associated with lowering contraceptive discontinuation.

However, desire for larger family, pressure from the husband, religious concerns and fear of side effects were also highlighted as the main reasons that contribute to contraceptive non-use, in this study, which is in line with the findings of previous studies.
