Event to Observe International Women’s Day

All members of Share-Net Bangladesh are invited to attend an event on International Women’s Day on 10 March 2019, Sunday at 3pm at Chhayanat Bhaban, Dhanmondi. This event is jointly organised by the three active alliances- Hello, I Am (HIA), Right Here Right Now (RHRN) and Unite for Body Rights (UBR).

The programme is chalked out in alignment with this year’s theme – ‘Think Equal. Build Smart, Innovate for Change!’. There will be participations from young people and from diverse populations like ethnic groups and transgenders. We will hear their voices through songs, dances and stories.

Ms Meher Afroze Chumki, Honorable Chair of the Parliamentary Standing Committee for Women & Children Affairs, Bangladesh Parliament will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest while HE Mr Harry Verweij, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bangladesh and Dr Asa Torkelsson, UNFPA Representative in Bangladesh will be present as Special Guests in the event.
