Child marriage associated with low birth weight in Bangladesh

Child Marriage is currently the most important public health concern for Bangladesh, which affects also maternal and child health outcomes in later life. The study was conducted by researchers from Harvard University, Columbia University, University of California, San Diego, and Dhaka Community Hospital Trust Bangladesh. The Researchers found that Child Marriage was associated inversely with pre term weight gain, which ultimately predicted poor birth weight of the children.
