Call for Abstracts: Y-STAGE 2026 Aims to Promote Young Innovators to Drive Gender Equality in Bangladesh
Bangladesh’s young changemakers are stepping up to reshape society. Y-STAGE 2026: Youth Summit on Transformative Action for Gender Equality offers a powerful national stage for them to present bold, youth-led ideas that tackle deep-rooted challenges.
Organised under the theme “Empowering Change: Building Inclusive Futures,” the summit aligns with the United Nations 2030 Agenda and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities). It focuses on critical areas including gender-based violence (GBV), sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), harmful social norms, and barriers to equal participation.
The two-day event, scheduled for 15–16 April 2026, will feature interactive sessions, networking, and abstract presentations by selected young innovators. It is supported by the ECSAGE Project, Feminist Opportunities Now (FON), and CREA, organisations committed to strengthening feminist movements and youth-led action against gender inequality.
Young innovators aged 35 or below from across Bangladesh can apply by submitting an abstract highlighting their ideas, initiatives, research, or projects. Submissions should align with one of these themes:
- SRHR & Health
- Education & Awareness
- GBV Prevention & Response
- Climate Justice & Resilience
- Gender Equality & Gender Justice
- Economic Empowerment & Livelihoods
- Social Inclusion & Reduced Inequalities
- Technology for Social Good
- Youth Leadership & Civic Participation
- Other relevant social impact ideas
Selected presenters will gain national exposure, connect with like-minded peers, activists, government representatives, and development practitioners, and contribute to policy-level and community-level change.
Benefits for selected innovators include accommodation (for females outside Dhaka), meals and refreshments, certificates, souvenirs, and valuable networking opportunities.
