Breaking Barriers: Call for Abstracts for the 1st UPLB Gender and Development Research Conference 2025

The UPLB Gender Center of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) is organising the first edition of the “UPLB Gender and Development Research Conference” on 27 October 2025 at the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), Tagaytay City. 

For researchers, academics, practitioners, and professionals passionate about gender equity and equality, inclusivity, sustainability, human rights and development, this conference will be an amazing opportunity to showcase their research on gender and development and contribute to meaningful conversations and initiatives for gender-responsive advocacy.

Conference Theme: “Championing Change: Gender Initiatives for a Transformative Academic Culture Towards a Sustainable and Resilient Future”

This conference aims to highlight initiatives in fostering gender inclusivity, equity, and sustainability in academic and professional landscapes. It will provide a platform for gender enthusiasts across the globe to present pioneering, innovative research and projects that will contribute to a gender-balanced society.

Call for Abstracts: Submit your work

Abstract submissions are now being accepted for the conference. Participants are encouraged to submit abstracts that align with the following thematic areas:

  • Gender, Health, Nutrition, and Well-being
