Child Marriage Program Scoping Survey
Child, Early, and Forced Marriage (CEFM) is a complex issue with drivers that vary widely from one setting to the next. The More Than Brides Alliance (MTBA) “Making The Most of What We Know” project (MMWWK) aims to elevate the experiences of organizations working to end child marriage by systematically gathering data on program implementation experience and bringing this together with research evidence on the connections between adolescent female sexuality and child marriage. The MMWWK project is collecting key information from implementing organizations within and outside of MTBA, reviewing research and grey literature, and conducting in-depth interviews with program implementers to record their experiences. Through this Child Marriage Program Scoping Survey, this project aims to gain a better sense of the child marriage programing landscape and to learn more about how programs incorporate themes related to adolescent female sexuality. We seek to identify promising interventions and strategies that could be highlighted during an international cross-learning event in the fall of 2020. This survey should take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. We thank you for your participation!
The MMWWK project focuses on how programs address the connections between adolescent female sexuality and child marriage, which vary widely from one context to the next. We are interested in documenting how programs incorporate content on various dimensions of sexuality–from pre-marital pregnancy, to virginity and family honor, to the threat of sexual violence–within their interventions aimed at delaying marriage and improving SRH outcomes for adolescent girls.
