Bangladeshi lawyer takes aim at sexual violence by religious edict

Barrister Sara Hossain, prominent barrister in the Bangladesh supreme court and honorary executive director of BLAST has been featured in the Guardian, a globally renowned newspaper/news outlet for her work to end sexual violence against women.  Barrister Hossain and the BLAST team have been at the forefront in working to end discriminatory practices against women, reform violating laws such as the two-finger test of rape victims, and several other advocacy and awareness raising campaigns to ensure legal support for vulnerable groups of people in Bangladesh.
