International Report: Bangladesh successful with Maternal Health

An international report titled “A Decade of Tracking Progress for Maternal, Newborn and Child Survival” was launched on October 19, 2015 at the first Global, Maternal & Newborn Health Conference held in Mexico City. The paper assessed trends in mortality, nutrition, maternal and child health with updated profiles on 75 member countries. Dr. Shams El Arifeen from icddd,b acknowledged Bangladesh’s progress in maternal health at the conference but also suggested that further investments should continue to meet future challenges.
