It was the 50th session of the UN Commission on Population and Development (CPD). The session was held on 3-7 April 2017.
Issues surrounding sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights were again among the most contentious in discussions within the Commission. Delegations were divided in opinion about the meaning of these terms and whether their use required qualification.
The document also contains the decisions on the alignment with the HLPF, about the themes of 2018 and 2019, as well as on the report on financial flows.
