Young girls more vulnerable to rape

82 percent of rape victims are under the age of 20, says a study done by The Daily Star. According to this editorial, more than half of the victims are school girls and more than 20 percent of them are sexually abused at home.

Developing countries like Bangladesh where, education for girls are being promoted, it is crucial to ensure their physical safety and mental wellbeing, suggests this editorial.
