SRHR Based PHOTO EXHIBITION BY LINK UP BANGLADESH

Link Up Bangladesh arranged its Photo Voice Exhibition in Khulna at KMSS’s auditorium on 1st September 2015 displaying on SRHR. The exhibition was organized by the Khulna Young Key Population Platform, KMSS and Link-Up Bangladesh Project staff. The four hour photo exhibition drew large number of youths, NGO representatives and journalists. This exhibition was inaugurated by a high ranking Government official of department of Social Services Mr. Sheikh Abdul Hamid. Ms. Felicity Morgan, Mr. Greg Gray of International HIV/AIDS Alliance and Dr. Sadiq Project director of Link Up Bangladesh also attended.
The exhibition displayed the photographs taken by the young key people who had been trained on SRHR based Photo-Voice in March 2015 by Link-Up Bangladesh. Before the training they did not have any idea about photography and all are from different key people community. This is the first exhibition of its kind in Khulna. The young people enjoyed arranging this event and they got lots of praise from the people who came to see the exhibition. The exhibition venue had a festive look and the young key population turned up all dressed up. The event was covered in the local print media. The event helped the viewers getting ideas of life style of young key people and also the health consequences due to non-accessibility to SRHR information and services.
