World Vision
About the organisation
World Vision International is an evangelical Christian humanitarian aid, development, and advocacy organization. It prefers to present itself as interdenominational and also employs staff from non-evangelical Christian denominations. It was founded in 1950 by Robert Pierce as a service organization to meet the emergency needs of missionaries. In 1975, development work was added to World Vision's objectives. It is active in more than 90 countries with a total revenue including grants, product and foreign donations of USD 2.90 billion (2019).
SRHR publications/research
I am currently working in the Gender & SRHR Component of “Youth Empowered Project- Preventing Child Early and Forced Marriage (CEFM) through integrated SRHR transformation”, funded by Global Affairs of Canada (GAC) for World Vision Bangladesh as the Gender & SRHR Coordinator. As the Gender & SRHR Coordinator, I am leading to implement Gender & SRHR related project models (MenCare, Citizen Voice and Action (CVA), Channel of Hope-Gender etc.) and other activities by coordinating with implementation partner- Uttaran. I am working to design and implement gender-sensitive and gender-specific activities that are aiming to implement in the project area to achieve ultimate outcome of the project. Before this, I worked as GBV Prevention Officer of USAID funded Emergency Food Security Programme of WVB at Rohingya Refugee Response situation.
