About the organisation
Moner Bondhu is a mental healthcare and well-being platform. With our network of 100 psychologists, psychiatrists and mental health workers and 1500 volunteers all over Bangladesh we have reached 1,000,000 people through our various online platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram and our website. Through our interactive events, workshops, seminars and training sessions, we have reached over 100,000 people.
We hold in person one-to-one and group counseling sessions and provide video and tele counseling. We have held over 80 workshop sessions on topics such as Parenting and Family, Stress Management, Trauma Management, Anxiety Management, Panic Management, Anger Management, Coping Mechanism, Work-Life Balance, Relationship Issues, Communication Skills etc. All our sessions include yoga and meditation. Our expert counselors design personal development programs for overcoming personality issues and better equip professionals for workplace challenges.
Moner Bondhu is the first ever mental health organization to provide mental healthcare to over 10,000 RMG factory workers and workers of the beautification industry. Currently, Moner Bondhu is working with UNDP to provide free video and tele counseling to people due to the coronavirus outbreak. Moner Bondhu has been chosen to be the service provider for staff psycho social counseling support of Save the Children in the Asia region. We have a radio show on Colours FM 101.6 which has aired over 350 episodes. We also have a live TV show on Nagorik Television where people can call and seek advice from an expert. We conduct workshops, discussion seminars and interactive events on handling mental health and related issues. Moner Bondhu is one of the winners of UNDP Youth Co:Lab Chapter 2.0. So far, we have worked with iDEA Project of ICT Division, USAID, UNDP, BRAC, EMK Center, BGMEA, PUM Netherlands and Christian Aid to name a few.
