Anando
About the organisation
Anando (Promotion of Culture and Youth Resource Development) has been involved in diverse development initiatives and interventions for more than 18 years. This is a national, non-government, non-profit, inter-religious and voluntary development organization which was initiated by a group of economists, writers, scientists, development practitioners and social philanthropists. It came into existence as “Anando” August 1997 and afterward registered with the Directorate of Social Services and NGO Affairs Bureau in the year 1997 and 1997 respectively.
The program has a special contribution in the process of poverty reduction for the poor and hardcore poor families of rural areas of Bangladesh by enhancing economic solvency through employment generation of the trained youth. Anando has been implementing the program with a wide range of project expansion in response to demand and requirement of the target beneficiaries and the youths. The organization has been involved with the program from the year 1999 and since then it has implemented quite a number of projects on technical and vocational skill development training and subsequently it also ensured employment generation for hundreds of passed out youth. Anando’s Job Placement Section has arranged wage employment for at least 600 youth at different industries through job linkage during 2009-2015.
