About the organisation
ASSEDO, a Bangladesh Government registered NGO, has been working in Northern-Bangladesh since 2001 to establish a poverty and deprivation free society, where people can live and thrive to their optimum potential having access to all standard rights and facilities. Promoting gender equality and improving women’s health and socio-economic empowerment are some key objectives of ASSEDO. Aligning with this objective, ASSEDO has strong focus on SRHR. In the last ten years, ASSEDO has implemented numbers of SRHR projects in the community targeting girls and boys, women and men funded by the Canadian Government, Oxfam Novib and others. At present, ASSEDO has been working in 05 districts in Rajshahi Division as the most significant contributing local NGO of this region. At present, through different development interventions, ASSEDO directly reaches 48,840 people (60% women) and indirectly reaches 150,000 people beneficiaries.
