Kashful Foundation’s efforts to enact SDGs in Bangladesh
In 2017, Kashful Foundation was established by North South University student Rafid Ariyan with a small dream of assisting in the skill development of young people. The primary goal of the Kashful Foundation was to organize exciting activities and resources to help kids advance their knowledge, abilities, and mental well-being.
Since then, the nonprofit organization has concentrated on the following four Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 4 (Provide Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 10 (Reduce Inequality), and SDG 16. (Peace Justice and Strong Institution). Plan International Bangladesh’s “Equality Award 2021,” a prize for social welfare, was granted to the Kashful foundation. The group won Activista Bangladesh’s “Youth Connects Youth” digital campaign competition in 2021 as well.
Additionally their “Learn2Protect” initiative was started to lessen injustice and defend children’s rights. The madrasas are a particular emphasis of this effort, according to Rafid. As part of this effort, representatives of the Kashful Foundation held workshops and seminars at several schools. The goal of these workshops and seminars was to increase knowledge of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), bullying, and child safety through a range of games and activities.
