Job Responsibilities
The Reproductive Health Specialist will assist the Team Leader in general for implementation of the PPME mandated responsibilities and be responsible specifically for:
-Representing in QAT and take vital role in reproductive care services quality assurances
-Undertaking routine monitoring of the services delivery especially related to delivery and nutritional status
-Undertaking routine monitoring in addition to delivery in indoor and outdoor services provided and assess quality and suggest improvements in systemic and medical procedures and patient management
-Check whether standard protocols as applicable are followed during delivery care (normal and Caesarian section), maintenance of hygienic standards, proper sterilization of all equipment used
-If mothers and child are properly served as needed at various stages of delivery to the discharge and beyond
-Holding dissemination workshops with the respective service delivery staff of PANGOs on related issues for rectification through dissemination of the different findings, wrong doing, mistakes, irregularities, and non-compliance of standard protocols
-Preparing manuals on general mistakes and overlooks, irregularities, non-compliance on protocols; suggest how to ensure that the services are delivered for highest quality standards in the project environment and opportunities, describe the difficulties and dangers of the observed non-compliance and irregularities and mistakes.
-Undertaking monitoring in ensuring quality of care services in CRHCCs and PHCCs;
-Monitoring of Screening & Management of Infant & Child Health;
-Monitoring of compliance with national standard diagnostic services;
-Liaise, collaborate, and consult with all project partners and beneficiaries, arrange and attend meetings producing reports/minutes of meetings as necessary;
-Create and adapt high-quality, data collection tools including monitoring tools and forms, survey questionnaires, qualitative data collection, facility assessment and supervision tools, and training materials;
-Assist Team Leader in data analysis, and report writing;
-Staff management and linkage with different governments, NGO, and donor agencies;
-Disseminate findings and provide feedback to the stakeholders for decision making and prepare manuals as needed for service providing staff.
Educational Requirements
-Master of Science (MSc) in Public Health
-MBBS preferably female with Master’s degree in public health with diploma in Reproductive Health.
Experience Requirements
-At least 5 year(s)
