Job Context
- Program Coordinator for Achieving Universal Access to SRH for Host Communities of Cox`s Bazar – Gender Based Violence (GBV) project
Educational Requirements
- Master’s degree in gender studies, international development, social work or other social sciences, community health, international law, human rights or related fields.
Additional Requirements
- 8 to 10 years of experience implementing donor-funded humanitarian and recovery programs.
- Practical experience in GBV programme development and management and technical knowledge and experience in GBV prevention and response using a survivor-centered approach highly desirable.
- Experience in humanitarian coordination particularly in area of GBV is required.
- Previous experience with the GBV IMS is highly desirable.
- Demonstrable knowledge of reproductive health issues and protection issues in humanitarian settings, and roles/responsibilities of humanitarian actors.
- Experience working directly with survivors of GBV is recommended.
- Experience in program management.
- Understanding of long-standing drivers of GBV in Bangladesh, particularly Cox’s Bazar.
- Exceptional poise and diplomacy in engaging with diverse communities and stakeholders and obtaining buy-in and commitment to support program objectives.
- Knowledge of protection issues in complex humanitarian environments, particularly host community settings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and verbal fluency in Bangla required.
