Job Context
Shushilan currently seeks a Case Coordinator for the ASTHA-Strengthening Access to Multi-sectoral Public Services for GBV Survivors in Bangladesh project. ASTHA, aims to fill these gaps by contributing to two outcomes: increases access to multi-sectoral response for survivors of GBV and increased positive attitudes among community members about harmful gender norms and behaviors that perpetuate violence. In that, ASTHA is aligned with the National Women`s Development Policy (2011) and will contribute to the accomplishment of key national development priorities of gender equality and women`s empowerment as emphasized in the Seventh Five plan (2016-2020) and the National Action Plan to prevent violence against women and children (NAPVAW- 2013-2015). Purpose of the Position
Under the guidance of the Chief of Health Section and direct supervision by the Health Specialist (Immunization), Health Officer EPI (Equity and EVM) will provide technical support to Ministry of Health in implementation of the Health System Strengthening for Vaccine Preventable Diseases Surveillance and Effective Vaccine Management grant, supported by Gavi Alliance.
The incumbent will be based in Health Section of BCO, however would spend 30 percent of his/her time in the field dedicated for field level activities as per the TOR. The incumbent will report to Health Specialist (Immunization), and also coordinate with Health Manager (Health System Strengthening) and other staffs in health, nutrition, WASH section as part of overall Health System Strengthening efforts of UNICEF.
Major duties and responsibilities:
Improve coverage and minimize equity gap in urban and low performing area:
- Coordinate with the DGHS, MoH, WHO, and other relevant stakeholders and provide technical support in equity analysis, including soci0-economic and cultural inequities, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of program.
- Engage partners and stakeholders in identification of bottlenecks and potential problems and take timely decisions to resolve issues and/or refer to relevant officials for timely resolution.

- Provide technical assistance to Government and other partners in developing the guidelines, training materials and conduct the trainings/ meetings/ workshops and program review meetings/workshops.

- Closely work with other health colleagues both at BCO and Zonal offices for timely implementation, oversight, financial management, achieving results and reporting of UNICEF supported activities of different MNCAH projects as per the Rolling Work-Plan 2018-2019. Monitors the overall allocation and disbursement of programme funds, making sure that funds are properly coordinated, monitored and timely liquidated
- Provide technical assistance and support technical agency in conducting surveys, researches and process documentation related to improve vaccine and logistics management under the project
- Collaborate with the relevant UNICEF programmes involved in Gavi HSS activities, as well as other partners, to ensure that the programme needs are identified and goals achieved. Maintain necessary and adequate liaison with government counterparts and institutions to ensure good cooperation and communication. The Gender Based Violence (GBV) Officer will provide the technical support to the implementation of the cross-sectorial. Position: Sector Specialist; Gender Justice and Diversity
Responsibility: 1.Conduct Training Need Assessment (TNA) and deliver training as per action plan 2.Plan and conduct workshop, discussion and dialogues with staff of all programs 3.Visit and follow up all unit offices to enhance gender responsive staff relation and gender equality goals 4.Prepare and regular update of gender profile for staff and list of program participants in the casement area 5.Maintain liaison with DBR and local government institutes to participate as a gender focal person 6.Attend DPC and other programs regular forums and events to raise gender issues 7.Initiate VAWC related activity, collect VAWC related information and ensure necessary psychosocial support 8.Develop and review training materials (Handout, Module, Manual, IEC & BCC) for gender training, workshop and forum 9.Arrange events on national and international days on gender, women and human rights Form and follow up SHRT activity and ensure necessary support 10.Support other unit’s activities for knowledge management, M&E and integration as a focal Prepare action plan and ensure reporting |
Educational Requirements: |
Master in Social Science from any recognised national/ international university with minimum 2nd class/ division in all academic examination |

Position: Technical Coordinator - Research and M&E
Location: Based at CARE Bangladesh Dhaka Office.
Job Description:
Technical Coordinator – Research and M&E will work as a senior team member for the project entitled Tipping Point: Innovation and Advocacy in addressing underlying causes of child marriage under the guidance of the Team Leader.
The overall responsibilities of Technical Coordinator- Research and M&E for Tipping the Point will be to lead monitoring, evaluation and research related activities. S/he will be responsible for fostering a learning environment within the project through regular learning and reflection exercise, regular monitoring, frequent interaction and close collaboration with the broader project team and partner organizations. The technical coordinator will ensure development of partner’s capacity in implementing the M&E system, and utilizing findings of the system to inform program implementation and advocacy/policy influencing strategies. S/he will also be responsible for disseminating the achievements and learning at various forums and maintaining relationships with the government and different networks/coalitions.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Ensure design and implement research plans for the project
- Ensure intervention consistency according to expected outcomes and monitoring plan, data management, analysis and Evaluation
