Share-Net Bangladesh SRHR Award 2024

Share-Net Bangladesh, recognising the significant contributions of individuals in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in Bangladesh, is pleased to announce the Call for Nominations for the Share-Net Bangladesh SRHR Award 2024. This prestigious award aims to honour dedicated professionals, including health service providers, government workers, and politicians, teachers, researchers, journalists, lawmakers, influencers, activists, who have demonstrated exceptional commitment and courage in advancing SRHR in Bangladesh. 

Share-Net Bangladesh Membership:

Selection Process:

A panel of distinguished juries will conduct a rigorous review of the nominees’ work, activities, achievements, and public contributions in the field of SRHR. The awardee will be selected based on their outstanding contributions.

Award Announcement:

The Share-Net Bangladesh SRHR Award 2024 will be announced and presented during the closing session at the 9th Knowledge Fair 2024, the largest national SRHR event organised by Share-Net Bangladesh in October 2024.

Categories:

The Share-Net Bangladesh SRHR Award 2024 will include three categories:

  • Share-Net Community Champion Award  

Criteria: 

  • No age limit 
  • Must be a grassroot-level professional/influencer/activist (From Union, Upazilla, or District level) 
  • At least 5 years of contribution in any field of SRHR with clear results/achievements
  • Share-Net Youth Leadership Award 

Criteria: 

  • Age limit: Not more than 30 years  
  • Must be a dedicated and dynamic student/professional/influencer/activist 
  • Strong track record in any field of SRHR at the national or local level 
  • At least 3 years of contribution in any field of SRHR with clear results/achievements
  • Share-Net Lifetime Achievement Recognition 

Criteria: 

  • Age limit: Not less than 60 years    
  • Must have lifetime dedication and experience in working in the field of SRHR with clear results/achievements  

Selection Process:

To be eligible for the Share-Net Bangladesh SRHR Award 2024, nominees must meet the following criteria:

  • The nominee must be a Bangladeshi national.
  • The applicant could be an individual working or volunteering in the field of SRHR.
  • Preference will be given to nominees with experience working in rural/left-out areas and/or minority groups of Bangladesh. 

Nomination Documentation:

All nominations must include the following documentation in English in the Nomination Form [Click Here]: 

  • CV: Nominee’s Curriculum Vitae (CV) highlighting only their academic and work experience. The CV should not exceed 3 pages. 
  • Narrative: A narrative, not exceeding 500 words, supporting the nomination and describing the nominee’s noteworthy works in SRHR. 
  • Reference Contacts: Minimum 2 (two) Reference Contacts (with Name, Designation & Organisation, Contact Number & Email address), who are credible enough to vouch for the nominee’s contributions. 

Important Information:

  • Last date of Submission: August 20th, 2024
  • Incomplete nominations will not be considered by the jury.
  • If the nominee has received the SRHR Award before, he/she will not be short-listed.
