Concerned Women for Family Development [CWFD]
CWFD emerged from an emotional response to help women in need of reproductive health care counseling. The organization, originally named as “Concerned Women for Family Planning (CWFP), started its voluntary activities in 1974 to help the refuge coming to Dhaka city after the devastating famine of 1974. The organization was registered in 1975 with Directorate of Social welfare and formally launched its project activities in 1976 with only 5 female staff to cover an area of Dhaka city slum comprising around 50,000 people.
Concerned Women for Family Development will receive funds from United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to implement Generation Breakthrough-Cox`s Bazar: Improving the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights including Maternal, Newborn and Adolescent Health in Bangladesh (ImSRHRMNAH,B) Project. This project aims to address gender based violence (GBV) in Bangladesh by establishing linkages to adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and gender equity, with a focus on engaging boys and improving relationship building skills. As a part of delivering adolescent friendly health services, `Improving Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights including maternal and new born health in Bangladesh` project will create linkage for tele-counseling and referral services to different service providers on sexual and reproductive health and gender based violence. The primary target group of this helpline and adolescent friendly held service are adolescents aged 10-19 years.
Duty station: Ramu and Chakaria Upazila of Cox`s Bazar
Job Responsibilities
- Planning and implementation project activities in the assigned areas Liaison/coordination with all concern. Prepare monthly work plan of the assigned working areas based on quarterly plan.
- Support for organizing training sessions for adolescents leaders in schools and madrasa.
- Provide support to the school / madrasa teachers for preparing plan and facilitating session. Organize different meeting and training as per project need.
- Invite and ensure participation of the listed target people.
- Arrange suitable place for conducting meeting and training in the school / madrasa and community.
- Prepare meeting and training plan and conduct meeting and training accordingly.
- Coordination among all stakeholders at the field levels.
- Establish and maintain liaison/coordination with the GO, NGO, school teachers, Community groups, Health service providers.
- Documentation and Preparation of different project reports.
- Regular visit to the enlisted schools and madrashas.
- Line of responsibility: The Technical Officer is directly reportable to the Field Manager in the field office.
