Job Summary:

CARE Bangladesh is implementing a project titled, “Women’s Economic Empowerment – Empowering Women Garment Workers through Career Mobility, Financial Inclusion and Reduced Sexual Harassment and Violence” funded by UNWomen. The project will be implemented over a period of twenty months, in 2 locations in Gazipur and Dhaka, in partnership with 4 to 5 factories, skill building institutes, private sector, relevant government ministries and civil society organizations. The project aims to contribute to the economic empowerment of 6,000 women garment workers (directly and indirectly) in Dhaka division by investing in their career advancement, building their capital base, and increasing their confidence and ability to address harassment and violence at the workplace and in their living environments.

Qualification:

MBA/ BBA OR Masters in Economics or relevant Social Sciences

3 to 5 years’ experience in the field of development, with particular experience in project management

Strong networking and project management

Strong understanding on Gender and Women Empowerment

Strong team management and people management skill.

Knowledge on budgeting and expenditure monitoring

Good skill in partnership management

Computer skills on MS word, Excel, Power point

Impeccable communication skill in both verbal and written in English and Bangla

Job Condition: Based in Dhaka with frequent field visit
