“The Right Here Right Now” (RHRN) Bangladesh aims to work towards young people’s sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), with focus on freedom from stigma, discrimination and violence, access to comprehensive young-friendly services and access to comprehensive information and space for young people’s voices.
In Bangladesh, the RHRN platform strives for the protection, respect and fulfillment of SRHR of all young people including girls, young women and sexual and gender minorities. Specific attention is given to creating an enabling environment where young people can have access to SRHR information. Aligning with the project aim Communication and Documentation Officer is responsible for overall documentations and managing smooth communication & network among platform members/concern donors/other stakeholders.
The Key Responsibility of the Position:
- Facilitate and guide processes to craft a significant communication & documentation vision for the RHRN project aligning with its vision, mission and long term programming.
- Plan, Process and produce action plan/strategy of communication & documentation in line with project/platform’s object ensuring necessary documents are pressured in systematical ways.
- Develop online hub for the platform members and keep it always updated with the information related to advocacy and project activities.
- Assist Project Coordinator and other concern in producing/publishing appropriate BCC/IEC material, report for the project/organization including developing curriculum, module, manual, audio visual documentations, web contents etc.
- Ensure efficient network/communication among platform members/concern authority regarding effective sharing of information, ideas or any feedback regarding project implementation/status.
- Assist the platform members/coordinators in preparation of project achievement, case studies and success stories, presentation, event report, organizing meeting/seminar etc.
- Contribute to prepare progress report on monthly and quarterly activities as per Work Plan and disseminate accordingly ensuring project interest.
- Coordinate and assist in managing & translate research materials/other relevant documents for easy access by staff and the beneficiaries/concern of the project.
- Ensure smooth operation/activation of social media campaigning (Face book, Twitter and others) regarding youth related activities, project updates/status.
- Coordinate/Assist in developing /establish linkages/strategic relationship with both Print and Electronic media and ensure press release of various programs and activities undertaken by the host organization/concern donors.
- Create and maintain a data base of media outlets, feed story ideas, reports, press release and story line to national news paper/other media.
- Provide support in the establishment and operation of Resource Centre/resource hub and establish a functional documentation system in coordination with all program components/platform members.
- Assist/ensure IT related security regarding project information or other confidential issues.
- Facilitate/provide necessary training /briefing/orientation/ session for the platform members considering the adversaries/situational requirements.
Minimum Qualification:
- Master Degree in Mass media, Journalism, Social Science preferable in communication related subject from a recognized Institution.
- Good knowledge in the utilization of Microsoft office programs including preference to graphic design, layout, photography etc.
- 3 years job experience including 2 year in same field is preferable.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the region, including its human rights, HIV/AIDS, SOGI issues and local social-cultural context with good analytical skills.
- Familiar with advocacy work having ability to interact professionally with a diverse population.
- Excellent skills on presentation, communication and report writing in English and Bangla.
- Skills in public speaking both in English and Bangla having computer knowledge.
- Good team player among multidisciplinary atmosphere, with experience working with different partners and stakeholders.
- Youth-friendly and fully at ease working with both young people and adults.
- The person has to be Non-judgmental irrespective of cast, class, religion, gender and cultural diversity.
Age limit: 35 Years
Salary: 27,026 + other benefit as per project policy
